A Workshop for Interpreters of
the
Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Participants attending this
workshop will:

q Increase their knowledge about up-to-date information
on contraceptive methods, including Emergency Contraception, Seasonale, the
IUD, the Patch, the Ring, and more! q Review well-known methods and be introduced to
upcoming ones that will be on the market soon. |
q Increase knowledge and skill with accurate signs
for contraceptive methods. q Discuss application of this information to
interpreting for clients and the Deaf community. |
This workshop would be
particularly useful for interpreters who have work in the family planning
setting, interpret for health classes or have interest in getting the latest
information.
NOTE: Proficiency in American Sign Language
(ASL) is REQUIRED. This
training will be facilitated in American Sign Language by Christine Gannon,
M.S.Ed.
