Fall Conference!!

You know what they say…”two heads are better than one.” This is especially true concerning the upcoming CRID/WYRID Conference on April 27^th – 29^th! By combining our resources, we have fashioned a very exciting opportunity for our respective states. I can’t emphasize enough the great workshops that await WYRID members in beautiful Estes Park, CO. The Conference is entitled, “ALL THE WORLD IS A STAGE: THERE’S A ROLE FOR YOU!” Speaker and comedian Ari-Asha Castalia is our main presenter, plus there are many breakout workshops that are amazing! You will see on the registration form that there is a track for EIPA. The law in Colorado requires that educational interpreters receive a specified number of CEUs every year. However, you don’t have to be concerned about this track. You can pick and choose the workshops you want to attend.

WYRID members can register as “members” and get the member’s discount. The conference fee is more than what WYRID member has typically come to expect. However, over $100 is just for the delicious food they will serve us, plus

We will be having a Business Meeting/Lunch meeting during the Conference on Saturday from 12:30 – 3:30pm (or less). There are many matters we need to discuss, such as changes in the By-Laws, nominations for Board positions, etc. It is important we have a strong showing to take care of business.

WYRID Membership Renewal

In anticipation of changing our By-Laws Membership Fee due date from February to a date that is more membership friendly (September during the Fall Conference); we have attached a “Membership Form” to this mailing. We will prorate the fees to reflect payment from February to September. For this year only the cost will be $15.00. Please show your continued support for this organization and your profession by sending in this form and your payment ASAP.
