Services for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Outreach Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides
consultative services to all Wyoming school districts and child development
centers in order to assist schools in providing high quality services to
children who are deaf and hard of hearing.
Services can include, but are not limited to:
- Classroom observations and suggestions
- Attendance and consultation at IEP and IFSP meetings
- In-services and trainings tailored to the specific needs of a particular
teacher, school, district, or child development center
- State-wide trainings
- Materials through the Wyoming Services for the Deaf Library
- Interpreter consultations
- Model lessons and classrooms
- Wyoming Hearing Impaired Contact (WY-HI), a social and educational
activity for children, their families and service providers
- Trainings related to hearing screenings
- Provide assistance to parents and families with information and support
during medical and audiological appointments
